I can’t believe that I have never told my Butterfly Novel fans this. BUT. One night, when writing And For Your Information, I was visited by a ghost. True story.
It was at an artist’s retreat so I had to stay in my room. I was so terrified that I got out of bed (it was 1am), banged on all the lights, and stayed up till sunrise, editing the living daylights out of manuscript, slashing whole sections, killing my darlings if you’ll pardon the pun.
Anyway, this terrifying experience absolutely lifted the book. I’m reminded of this now, because this story, that there has always been so much love for, has just been selected as a finalist in the ScreenCraft Cinematic Book Competition.
