The Butterfly Novels, a series of books by bestselling author Denise Deegan, about three teenage friends, Alex, Sarah and Rachel, who attend Stradbrook College, an elite school on Dublin’s southside. The series has affectionately been called “Dalkey 90210″ by the media.
“And By The Way” is the story of Alex who has lost her mum to cancer and her dad, ‘The Rockstar’, to work. Alex is angry. With everyone. Especially David McFadden who could have helped her but didn’t. Now, six months later, Alex doesn’t want help. She’s not going to trust anyone, love anyone, rely on anyone. That way, she’ll never get hurt again. At least, that’s her plan….

I’m looking forward to And For Youre Information but kind of wish it was written on Alex’s point of view. but definitley give it a read, just hope it’s still good even though its from Sarahs point of view.

oh. my. goodness.
i LOOOOOOOOOOVED ABTW, (i finished it last week) and now i;m waiting in AGONY for the library to get AFYI (i live in England – none of the bookshops near me really stock anything except twilight and harry potter )’: ) but i was wondering if you were going to make the series a trilogy, or write more?
if i may be so rude, PLEEEEEEEEEASE consider (if you weren’t already – i honestly don’t mean to sound rude) writing another book in Alex’s voice – i just thought she was really unputdownable, if that makes any sense…
any, yeah – i LOVE ABTW. pretty sure i’ll be recommending it to my kids when i’m old enought to have them and theyre old enough to it, along with the rest of the series no doubt

Hi Amy, thank you so much. I would LOVE them to be movies. Maybe some day. The third Butterfly Novel will be out in September and will be called And Actually. It’s going to be from Rachel’s point of view. And can I just apologize for making the Amy in the books a total biotch! I actually love the name. I have read both the butterfly novels and can’t wait for the 3rd one! There the best books ive ever read and was so upset when I finished them;( I love the way each book is written from Alex, Sarah and rachel:) I love the way their unpredictable and I love the characters:D When the series is finished, please write more teenage books cause these are incredible x
